Do Work You’re Proud Of.

Great veterinary medicine requires more than talented people.

It requires the time to think. The freedom to practice. The right equipment and resources. A team that has your back. And a culture where people care deeply about doing things well.

That is what we have built at West Park.

We are a veterinary hospital for people who want to practice excellent medicine—and want to enjoy the people they practice it with.

A Different Kind of Veterinary Practice

We believe the best care happens when veterinary professionals have the time and resources to do their jobs properly.

That sounds simple. It isn’t.

Veterinary medicine can become transactional when appointments are rushed, teams are stretched thin, and the demands of the day dictate the medicine. We have deliberately built West Park differently.

Our hospital was designed around the idea that individualized care produces better medicine. We give our veterinarians and support teams the time to understand each patient, communicate with clients, think through difficult cases, and provide the level of care they believe is right.

We don’t want our team to simply get through the day.

We want them to practice medicine they can be proud of.

A Culture of Excellence

We have built a team of people who respect one another’s expertise and genuinely want their colleagues to succeed.

Our veterinarians work alongside experienced technicians, client service professionals, assistants, managers, and leaders who understand that every role matters. People are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, teach one another, and continually look for ways to make the practice better.

We are serious about medicine. We are serious about our patients. And we are serious about taking care of our people.

The Medicine Matters

West Park was created to provide a level of veterinary care that we would want for our own families.

That means practicing thoughtfully rather than reflexively. It means paying attention to details. It means recognizing subtle changes, asking better questions, and not accepting “good enough” when better is possible.

Our team has access to a modern, purpose-built hospital and the tools necessary to practice contemporary veterinary medicine.

But technology is only part of the equation.

The real advantage is having talented people who know how to use it—and colleagues who make them better.

Whether your interests are surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, preventive care, urgent care, or simply becoming a better general practitioner, we want you to have the opportunity to develop your skills and pursue the areas of veterinary medicine that matter to you.

Your Career Should Grow With You

A good veterinary career shouldn’t require you to choose between professional growth and having a life outside the hospital.

We believe both are important.

West Park supports continuing education, professional development, mentorship, and opportunities to take on greater responsibility as your interests and abilities develop.

Some of our team members have grown into leadership roles. Others have developed deeper expertise in particular areas of medicine. Still others have discovered that they simply love being an excellent clinician or technician.

There isn’t one definition of success here.

We want to help you build a career that fits your strengths and ambitions.

Work-Life Balance Isn’t a Perk. It’s Part of the Design.

Veterinary medicine is demanding. We don’t pretend otherwise.

But a demanding profession does not have to mean an unsustainable career.

We have intentionally designed our schedules and staffing model to give you meaningful time away from the hospital. For our team, that means a four-day work week is typical. We never have overnight or on-call responsibilities.

We work hard to get people home when their shift is over.

Because being a great veterinarian, technician, or client service professional is only one part of having a great life.

You Won’t Practice Alone

One of the most important things you’ll notice at West Park is the depth of the team around you.

Our hospital includes dozens of veterinary professionals and support team members working together toward the same goal: providing exceptional care to every patient.

That matters.

It means you can ask another veterinarian about a challenging case. You can rely on experienced technicians. You can learn from someone who has been doing something longer than you have. And when the day gets complicated—as veterinary medicine inevitably does—you have people around you who are invested in solving the problem with you.

The standard here is high. The support is higher.

The People Behind West Park

Our team is made up of experienced professionals, lifelong learners, aspiring technicians, leaders, animal lovers, and people who simply believe that what they do matters.

What brings us together isn’t that everyone has the same background or the same career goals.

It’s that we share a few fundamental beliefs:

  • Patients come first.
  • Details matter.
  • We treat one another with respect.
  • We keep learning.
  • We help each other.
  • And we should leave veterinary medicine better than we found it.

Who Thrives Here?

West Park may be a particularly good fit if you:

  • Take genuine pride in the quality of your work
  • Want to practice medicine rather than simply process appointments
  • Enjoy working with people who are highly skilled and passionate about what they do
  • Are curious and interested in continuing to learn
  • Value collaboration over ego
  • Want meaningful responsibility and autonomy
  • Believe excellent client communication is part of excellent medicine
  • Care about the experience of both the patient and the person attached to the leash
  • Want a long-term career rather than simply your next veterinary job

You don’t need to know exactly where your career is going.

You do need to care about where you’re going.

Frequently Asked Questions

West Park is a team-oriented veterinary hospital where people take pride in doing excellent work and taking good care of patients, clients, and one another.

We are serious about the quality of medicine we provide, but we also believe the people who deliver that care should enjoy coming to work. Collaboration, respect, continuous learning, and a willingness to help one another are central to how we work.

We have intentionally built West Park around the quality of the patient and client experience.

That means giving our team the time, resources, support, and professional environment necessary to do their jobs well. We believe better care comes from people who have the opportunity to think, communicate, learn, and take pride in their work.

We are also independently owned and locally operated, which allows us to make decisions based on our patients, clients, and team.

Yes. West Park is locally owned and operated by veterinarians. We are not associated with a corporate veterinary group or private equity.

We believe that ownership structure matters. It allows decisions to be made close to the people and patients they affect, while preserving the character and personal relationships of an independent practice.

Our culture is collaborative, professional, and focused on doing things well.

We want people to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, helping colleagues, and learning from one another. We value people who take responsibility for their work while understanding that great veterinary care is a team effort.

We also believe that a healthy workplace requires more than good intentions. We work to create an environment where people are respected, supported, and given the opportunity to succeed.

People who are curious, conscientious, collaborative, and proud of their work tend to do well here.

You don’t have to have the same background, personality, or career goals as everyone else. We value different perspectives and experiences.

What matters most is that you care about doing good work, treating people well, continuing to learn, and contributing positively to the team.

Veterinary medicine works best when everyone understands that their role matters.

Our veterinarians work alongside experienced technicians, assistants, client service professionals, managers, and other support team members. Each group brings a different skill set to patient care, and effective communication between those groups is essential.

We want people to understand not only what their own job requires, but how their work contributes to the larger team.

Yes.

We want people to continue developing throughout their careers. Depending on the role, that can mean learning new clinical skills, pursuing continuing education, taking on additional responsibilities, developing leadership skills, or simply becoming increasingly confident and capable in your current position.

Opportunities and benefits vary by position, and specific details are provided with individual job postings or discussed during the interview process.

Veterinary medicine can be demanding, and we recognize that a sustainable career requires meaningful time away from work.

We design schedules with that principle in mind and strive to make expectations clear for every position. Specific schedules vary by role and are outlined in individual job postings.

We believe people do better work when they have the right support around them.

That includes experienced colleagues, appropriate equipment and resources, clear communication, and a team willing to step in when a day or case becomes challenging.

Asking for help is not viewed as a weakness. It is part of working well as a team.

West Park is a modern veterinary hospital designed to support contemporary companion-animal medicine.

Our investment in equipment and facilities is intended to give our clinical team the tools they need to diagnose and treat patients effectively.

Just as importantly, our team brings the knowledge and experience required to use those resources well.

We believe every patient deserves individualized care.

Our goal is not simply to move patients through the hospital efficiently. It is to understand the patient, communicate clearly with the client, make thoughtful medical decisions, and provide the care we would want for our own animals.

That philosophy influences how our entire team works, not just our veterinarians.

Excellent veterinary medicine and excellent client service are inseparable.

Our clients trust us with members of their families, often during stressful or emotional situations. Every interaction, from scheduling an appointment to discussing a diagnosis to helping a patient go home, is an opportunity to build that trust.

We look for team members who understand the importance of empathy, professionalism, communication, and attention to detail.

No. West Park is independently owned and locally operated.

That independence allows us to maintain a close connection to our team, our patients, and the community we serve.

We are always interested in meeting exceptional people.

If there isn’t currently an opening that matches your experience, you are welcome to contact us. As our hospital grows, new opportunities arise across clinical, client service, operational, and support roles.

We encourage candidates to learn as much as possible about us before making a career decision.

We always arrange an opportunity to visit the hospital, meet members of the team, and experience our work environment firsthand.

We want candidates to decide whether West Park is right for them just as much as we want to determine whether they are right for West Park.
